Who it’s for

  • Stores suspended for misrepresentation or ‘website needs improvement’ that don’t know what Google wants changed
  • Shopify and WooCommerce merchants setting up Merchant Center, free listings and Shopping ads for the first time
  • Francophone merchants in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada who want the work done in French
  • African exporters selling into eligible countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, France or the UK
  • Developers whose custom feed broke when the Content API for Shopping was shut down in August 2026

What’s included

  • Account and policy audit: business identity, contact details, returns, shipping, checkout, secure payment, price and availability
  • Website trust fixes: policy pages, About and Contact pages, HTTPS and a checkout that shows the full cost
  • Feed setup and optimization: titles, GTINs, categories, attributes, images, shipping and returns settings
  • Diagnostics clean-up: disapprovals, price and availability mismatches, missing product identifiers
  • A review request prepared with evidence: we fix first and request once, because Google limits how often you can ask
  • Merchant API migration for custom integrations built on the retired Content API for Shopping
  • Free listings and Shopping ads linking with your Google Ads account
  • Readiness check for checkout in AI Mode and Gemini through the Universal Commerce Protocol (early access)
  • 30 days of monitoring after the fix, with alerts on new warnings or feed errors

How we work

  1. 01

    Diagnose

Within 48 hours we read every issue in your account, compare your website and feed with Google’s policies, and send you a written list of what to fix, in priority order.

  2. 02

    Fix site & feed

We fix policy pages, business details, checkout and feed data ourselves, or guide your developer step by step. Most fixes take 5 to 10 business days.

  3. 03

    Request review (once, with evidence)

We request a review only when your website, feed and account settings all agree, and we keep a record of every change. Google limits how often you can ask.

  4. 04

    Monitor & prevent

For 30 days we watch diagnostics, feed errors and new warnings, and fix small problems before they turn into another suspension.

A Google Merchant Center suspension removes your products from Shopping ads and free listings, often overnight and with a vague email. MyBebine finds out why, fixes your website and product feed, and requests a review only when your account is ready, in English or French. We also set up new accounts and feeds properly, so these problems don’t start in the first place.

Why do Google Merchant Center suspensions happen?

Google wants every store in Shopping to look like a business a stranger can safely buy from. Its misrepresentation policy covers false or missing business identity, a hidden business location, offers you can’t fulfill, costs that aren’t clearly disclosed and unclear terms after purchase. Many suspended stores aren’t dishonest at all. They are incomplete, and Google’s automated checks can’t tell the difference.

Google usually warns before it suspends. For many issues you get 7 or 28 days to fix things, with one courtesy review allowed during that window, according to Google’s review guidance. Egregious violations, such as circumventing systems, lead to suspension on detection, with no warning at all.

What changed in 2026?

  • Business verification. Google may ask for government ID and business registration documents. The legal name and address must exactly match your Merchant Center and payments profile, and photos of photocopies or screenshots are rejected.
  • The Content API shutdown. Google sunset the Content API for Shopping on August 18, 2026 and warned that requests would fail progressively from September 1, 2026. Custom feeds still on the old API will fail more and more often.
  • Checkout inside AI answers. Google’s Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) lets merchants offer checkout directly in AI Mode and Gemini, built on their existing Merchant Center feeds. It is in early access, and clean product data is the starting point.

Who is this Merchant Center service for?

  • Suspended stores hit by misrepresentation, “website needs improvement” or a failed verification, that don’t know what Google wants changed.
  • New merchants on Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom platform who want Merchant Center, free listings and Shopping ads set up without the classic mistakes.
  • Francophone merchants in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada. When we reviewed the market in September 2026, we found almost no Merchant Center help available in French.
  • African exporters selling into eligible countries, and developers whose integrations broke when the Content API closed.

What’s included in a Merchant Center fix or setup?

A policy audit you can read

We check business identity, contact details, return and refund policy, shipping, checkout, secure payment, and price and availability consistency. Within 48 hours you get a written list of problems in priority order, each linked to the Google policy behind it.

Website trust fixes

We fix or rewrite policy pages, About and Contact pages, footer links and checkout details. On Shopify and WooCommerce we make the changes through a staff or user account. On custom stores we give your developer exact instructions, or our web development service makes the changes.

Feed setup and optimization

We clean up product titles, GTINs and brands, Google product categories, attributes such as size, color and condition, image quality, and the shipping and returns settings inside Merchant Center. If your product photos were made with AI tools, we keep their IPTC TrainedAlgorithmicMedia metadata, which Google requires on AI-generated images.

Diagnostics clean-up

Disapprovals, price and availability mismatches, missing identifiers and landing pages that fail to load get fixed at the source. We don’t hide problems with feed rules that make your feed disagree with your website.

Migration and new channels

For custom integrations, we migrate from the Content API to the Merchant API. We link free listings and Shopping ads to your Google Ads account, and we check whether your data is ready for UCP checkout.

30 days of monitoring

After the fix, we watch diagnostics, feed errors and new warnings for 30 days, and deal with small issues before they grow.

How do we work, and why do we request a review only once?

We work in a fixed order: diagnose, fix the website and feed, check everything twice, then request one review. The order matters because Google rations reviews. You get one chance to say “I disagree with the issue”, and if problems aren’t resolved by the second review attempt, a one-week cool-down may start and can grow longer after each unsuccessful review. Each review may take up to 7 business days (Google, Request a review).

So the most costly habit of a suspended merchant is clicking “Request review” after every small change. We treat each request as scarce and send it with a clear record of what changed. If Google asks for identity or business documents, you upload them yourself. We explain exactly what Google needs, but we never collect your ID.

How much does a Google Merchant Center fix cost?

Prices start at:

  • Merchant Center audit: 90,000 FCFA or $150, one-off.
  • Setup and feed: 200,000 FCFA or $350, one-off.
  • Suspension fix (misrepresentation and policy): 260,000 FCFA or $450.

International suspension fixes start with a $150 deposit, and the balance is due only after Google reinstates your account. Complex cases involving several policies start at $1,200. CEMAC prices apply to businesses registered in the CEMAC zone and can be paid by MTN MoMo, Orange Money or bank transfer in FCFA. The full breakdown is on our pricing page.

Misrepresentation checklist: what should you fix before asking Google?

  • Your legal business name, physical address, phone number and email are visible on the site and match Merchant Center and your Google payments profile.
  • The return and refund policy states the time window, the condition items must be in, who pays return shipping and how refunds are paid, and it is linked from every page.
  • Shipping costs and delivery times are the same on product pages, at checkout and in Merchant Center shipping settings.
  • Prices, sale prices, currency and availability on each product page match the feed.
  • Checkout runs on HTTPS and shows the full cost, including taxes and delivery, before payment.
  • No placeholder text, theme demo products, broken links or empty categories remain.
  • Discounts are real: no compare-at prices the item was never sold at, and no fake countdown timers.
  • Your About page says who runs the business and where it operates.
  • No firewall, bot filter or geo-block stops Google’s crawlers from reaching your pages. Google lists restricting crawler access as a form of circumventing systems.
  • Your site hasn’t been hacked. Injected scripts such as card skimmers fall under Google’s compromised sites policy.

Is Google Shopping available in Cameroon and the rest of Africa?

Not for shoppers in Cameroon. As of September 2026, Google lists 71 countries for Shopping ads and free listings, and Cameroon is not one of them. Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal all appeared as beta countries in Merchant Center’s supported list on March 2, 2025, and all three were gone by late April 2025.

What counts is where your customers are. The African countries on Google’s list are Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. French-speaking shoppers can be reached in France (mainland only), Belgium, Switzerland and Canada, so a team in Douala or Bamenda can run a store that sells into those markets.

One rule matters for every African exporter: never hide where your business is based. Google’s policy names misrepresenting your business location as a violation, so an honest Cameroonian address is safer than a borrowed foreign one. State delivery times, customs duties and who pays them plainly.

What do we need from you?

  • A user invitation to your Merchant Center account (admin while we fix it), plus a Shopify staff account or a WordPress user account.
  • Every email and notice Google sent you, and your full review history: how many requests, when, and what you said.
  • Honest business facts: legal name, address, how returns work and how you ship.
  • Your own time for any identity or business verification Google asks for, done directly in Merchant Center with original documents.

What are the honest limits?

  • Reinstatement is Google’s decision. We can make your store compliant and your request clear. We can’t approve it.
  • Some suspensions rarely come back. For egregious policies such as circumventing systems, Google says accounts are reinstated only in compelling circumstances.
  • We won’t open a new account to dodge a suspension. Google treats that as circumventing systems, and it puts your other accounts at risk.
  • We can’t change Google’s country list. Shoppers in Cameroon won’t see Shopping results, whatever anyone does.
  • UCP is early access. We can prepare your data; Google decides who gets in.

Want to know why your account was suspended? Send the suspension notice on WhatsApp (+237 678 858 683) or through our contact page, and you’ll get a written audit within 48 hours of giving us access. If you want paid Shopping campaigns afterwards, our Google Ads management works from the same feed.

Frequently asked questions

Why was my Google Merchant Center account suspended for misrepresentation?

Google suspends accounts when a store looks untrustworthy or incomplete to its reviewers, even if the business behind it is honest. The usual causes are missing or inconsistent business details, a weak or hidden return policy, shipping costs that differ between the site and Merchant Center, prices that don’t match the feed and a checkout that hides the full cost. Google’s notice rarely says which of these triggered it, so we check all of them against the policy before changing anything.

Can you guarantee my account will be reinstated?

No. Reinstatement is always Google’s decision, and anyone who guarantees it is promising something they don’t control. What we guarantee is the work: a written diagnosis, fixes that match Google’s published policies and one well-prepared review request. For international clients, the suspension fix starts with a $150 deposit and the balance is due only after reinstatement.

How long does a Merchant Center suspension fix take?

You get the written audit within 48 hours of giving us access. Most website and feed fixes take 5 to 10 business days, depending on how quickly changes can be made on your store. Google says a review may take up to 7 business days, and a failed review can add a cool-down period before you can ask again.

How many times can I request a review?

Fewer times than most merchants think. Google gives you one chance to disagree with an issue, and if problems aren’t resolved by the second review attempt, a one-week cool-down may begin and can grow after each unsuccessful review. That’s why we never request a review until the website, feed and account settings agree, and why we ask for your full review history first.

Do you need my Google password or copies of my ID?

No. You invite us as a user in Merchant Center, and as a staff account on Shopify or a user on WordPress, so you can remove our access at any time. If Google asks for identity or business documents, you upload them yourself in Merchant Center. We never collect or store copies of anyone’s ID.

What causes Merchant Center suspensions on Shopify stores?

Common Shopify causes are unedited policy templates, a Contact page without a real address or phone number, shipping rates that don’t match Merchant Center, theme demo content left on the store and compare-at prices the product was never actually sold at. The domain and settings in the Google & YouTube app also need to match your store. We check each of these on your live store and in the app.

Is Google Shopping available in Cameroon?

Not for shoppers in Cameroon. In September 2026, Google lists 71 countries for Shopping ads and free listings, and Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal are not among them; all three were briefly listed as beta countries in early 2025. A business based in Cameroon can still list products for shoppers in eligible countries it genuinely ships to, such as France, Belgium, Nigeria or Kenya.

What does the Content API for Shopping shutdown mean for my store?

Google sunset the Content API for Shopping on August 18, 2026, and warned that requests would fail progressively from September 1, 2026. If your products reach Merchant Center through a custom script or an older plugin, that connection has to move to the Merchant API. If you use a platform app, keep it updated; we confirm in your diagnostics that products are still syncing.

What’s the difference between free listings and Shopping ads?

Free listings show your approved products on Google surfaces at no cost. Shopping ads are paid placements run from Google Ads using the same Merchant Center feed, so they reach more people and can be targeted and measured. Both depend on the same policies, which means a suspension stops both.
